I’ve been making plenty of marks and haven’t had the time to update my blog daily because of it. But here they are with the live model drawings first:

I’ve officially decided to change the title of my 30-day marathon to Oodles of Doodles because they’re more doodles than drawings. Here they are from the recent to the oldest:

Carnivale, Mixed Media 3D Collage, 13.5"x9"
For all it’s worth, I’ve finally finished the mixed media piece I started months ago. I decided to submit it to Inspire Me Thursday just to get my work out there.

This is our cat Diemos, named after one of the moons of Mars (his brother's name is... wait for it... Phobos)
I confess that this piece is not new but it fit the theme so well, or at least I think so. It’s also one of my favorite pieces and reminds me that I need to continue to explore this digital process, which combined the use of Illustrator, Photoshop, hand-drawing (in PS), and photos. Essentially it’s a collage.
I call it Diemos in the Sky with Catnip

I should really call this a Doodle Marathon considering that’s really what I’m doing. Here they are, shown from the most recent to the oldest, per blog style:

Apparently, I’ve been thinking a lot about clowns and other weird creatures. I don’t know where these doodles come from but they have been a lot of fun!!
